As a joint-venture between Japan’s Toshiba Corporation and China’s Power Construction Corporation of China, the Toshiba Hydro Power (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. (THPC): have joined together in research, development, design, manufacturing, installation and service of hydropower equipment.
THPC was established in January 2005 as a result of the restructuring of the Fuchunjiang Fuji Hydro Power Equipment Co., Ltd. through a stock transfer. As of December 2024, the registered capital of THPC is US $52.65 million, Toshiba Group holds about 90% shares and Power Construction Corporation of China holds about 10% shares.
Toshiba has manufactured hydropower equipment for more than 130 years; with a commitment to developing new technologies and offering advanced products to customers all over the world. Specially, in the design, development and manufacturing of pumped storage equipment, Toshiba has been the forerunner in developing technologies for the large-capacity, high-head and high-speed generator units, has introduced many record-setting products.
